Aero lightly padded around the camp watching the cats leave for patrol and practice then come back with prey and new found skills. She loved coming to Windclan, of all the clans it was her favorite. And since she had gotten here a few sunrises back, she had been helping with the Medicine cat duties. Though she didnt take the actual position. She wasnt a clan cat, and she was being invited as one.

Aero had just finished helping the elders with thier tick problems, she understood why the apprentices hated it so much, but she loved helping anyway she could. Especially since they were feeding her. Sadly she didnt have much hunting skills of her own, nor fighting experiance. Aero had been beaten up as a young kit but that was as far as her claws really got her. Aero felt happy that she did get to stay for an apprentice ceremony, she had seen some of the kits in the clan grow to be warriors and it made her feel complete.

She sat down and began to swip her tongue slowly over her molted coat, releaving spots of dirt. She calmly cleaned as clan life passed by. She lifted her head slightly as she saw a White tom with chocolate brown paws and brown face, holding brilliant sky blue eyes. Aero tried to place his name in her mind. 'Rockpaw? no Runepaw... ah' she thought, bunching her forhead together as shse thought deeply. 'dang... Racoonpaw' the name spung happily into her mind. "that it" she said quietly to herself. Aero stood to go say hi to the tom. she couldnt remeber if she had met him before, she paussed for a moment wondering if she would be welcome and decited to go anyways. She padded up to Racoonpaw. "Hey, i dont think we have met.."

Racoonpaw walked along the moors, a feathery looking bird was clamped in her jaws. The prey in question was a hawk, that he surprised himself by catching, he was sure Redfeather would be proud. His gash along her side from the badger weeks ago still bothered him a little but it wasn't enough to really distract him from his duties as an apprentice. Ashstar seemed impressed by both Racconpaw and Rustlehearts skill in chasing a badger away, and he wondered what it was that Ashstar wanted to discuss with Redfeather about. Blinking out of his thoughts the tom cat started tback towards camp, following the familiar path that lead down the ravine into WindClan camp. His white and chocolate brown fur glistened against the sun light, making the areas around his eyes seem darker like a racoon, hence where he got his name from. The lithe older apprentice let his thoughts roam towards Rsutleheart, the darker ginger tom cat. He made a mental note to try and see if he was doing better now, the thought that he would still be hurting made his heart clench in his chest. But why?

Finally nearing the camp entrance the long legged apprenticed broke into a quicker trot, when he entered the camp he noticed a familiar pelt of Aero, a loner that Ashstar allowed to walk in WindClan's territory. She had never proven a threat to WindClan but instead helped by treating the cats of WindClan and teaching Wavepaw a bit here and there. Come to think of it she was the one who treated himself and Rustleheart after they made it back to camp. He didn't really talk to her during that because he was far to nervous, so technically they havn't truely met. His emerald optics ran over her face as he noticed her eyes on him. It made him feel a little uneasy but he contined to walk through the camp, dropping his prey into the pile, he sat down only inches away from it. Lifting a paw he quickly ran his tingue along it only placing it down wehen he saw Aero coming towards him. Her froze practically,l ike a kit about to get scolded for doing something wrong. His whiskers twitched as she approached. Don't be an idiot! his mind pleaded as she stopped before him.

"Hey, i dont think we have met.."

He blinked his vibrante green eyes at her. Placing a small smile on his lips. So far so good, he shook his head at her statement. "Well....not offically anyway."[/color] he mewed managing a calm and gentle tone with the female, he was sort of getting over his stuttering business, hopefully. He shifted on his paws a bit before trying to think of a good way to start this whole greeting thing off. "Im Racoonpaw, Your ummm Aero right? You helped when me and another warrior were hurt."[/color] he mewed, proud that he was getting this talking thing pretty under control, well until he got to nervous then he'd probably get all babbily again. Swiping his slightly fluffy tail over his white tiped paws, it rested on them regally. His face was nicely chizzled like a warriors, his long creay whiskers flowed a little past his cheeks and muscle, yes actual muscle, rippled beneath his thinner fur.

He gave her a half smile now, which was gorgeous on his features. With age he was becoming more charming without even meaning to be. Maybe Redfeather was finally rubbing off on him, though Racoonpaw was no flirt, he didn't really know how to, he never had to. Sure other cats were interested in him but all they did was giggle from afar so he had no practice in that area. To bad they didn't have training on that. The thought made him inwardly amused he could just imagine it. Refocusing his attention the the temporary medi, he relaxed his body. Trying to get it into the habit of that, with age he was also becoming a bit more braver instead of cowardly. He changed from the last few moons and he was now a proud fourteen moons old, it would not be long before he was made into a warrior now.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/sub][/color]

Aero noticed the freshly killed hawk that Racoonpaw had dropped into the fresh kill pile. She figured it would make some hungry cat very happy. The thought made a smile play on her lips. She watched the tom for a few seconds as the sun bounced off of his face smoothly, allowing his mask really show.

"Well....not offically anyway."

"Im Racoonpaw, Your ummm Aero right? You helped when me and another warrior were hurt."

Aero gave him a large smile, she hadnt realized that the small shy apprentice she had treated weeks ago was this here tom. The memory tingled her mind as she recountered Racoonpaw and his mentor heavily wounded in the medicine cats den. She remembered treating him with the little knowledge she had of the forest herbs. "Aero is my name yes. I hardly reconized you Racoonpaw, you have grown alot since that badger attack." She purred delightfully, eyeing his healing wound along his shiny white fur. 'i did pretty good' she thought, taking pride in her work. As Aero looked over the tom with ice mint orbs she noticed that he was as tall as she was now, with think a thick coat hiding the well worked muscles underneath. His emerald pools shone brightly in the sun, and his pelt showed no dirt. It made her slightly self contious of her messy fur. She quickly lifted her paws, wetting it, then swiping it over her brown ears. Then running it over the little white heart on her forehead, and lastly over her long whiskers. She could smell the slight scent of Cherries and peaches on her fur, she had always had those slight scents clinging on her. Her earlier clean was poorly done, as she could still see specks of dirt on her chest, she just hoped there wasnt anyone on her face.. it would be embarassing.

Aero realized she had completely stopped their short conversation. She looked up at him, blushing slightly, she couldnt believe she had done that. "Uh the wound is healing nicely..." she stuttered as she tried to find something to say, which was unusual. She was always very talkitive with all the cats, but now... well cats got my tongue she thought miserably. Aero let out a pathetic sigh, as she lay one ear flat on her head. She had a bad ear from nearly drowning and it bothered once in a while. She shook her head slightly in irritation. "Sorry i usually say more than this... " she coughed "Uh looks like you'll be a warrior soon huh?" be a warrior soon? i am such an idiot She thought rolling her mint eyes at her pathetic attempt.

The white and brown tom cat let his emerald optics run over her as she seemed to be looking him over, almost as if she couldn't believe he was the same apprentice that was scratched up up that moon or so ago. The thought that it was even remotely hard to remember mad e him grin at the female, had he really changed all that much from then? That was good, lifting out his forepaws to examine them he noticed that they were in fact slimmer and more muscled than before. Licking at his chest fur he felt a bit nervous that the she-cat was even staring at him, he noticed before that she was younger and more prettier than other medicine cats. Looking busy in his grooming he stopped and looked up at her, feeling like an idiot for just stopping conversation. "Sorry, can't seem to get the dust off."

he mewed warmly and swiped his tail over his paws quickly.

"Aero is my name yes. I hardly reconized you Racoonpaw, you have grown alot since that badger attack."[/color]

When she said it he was about to burst with pride, he should have been a warrior a moon ago but Ashstar had been busy thinking about the badger and the up coming gathering so he didn't blame the wise grey leader. He dipped his head formally to the the temporary medicine cat and smiled a gentle soft smile. "Thank you Aero, Im glad I have shown physical improvement. Umm how are you liking WindClan?"[/color] he asked trying to get a few of his own conversation starters in there instead of just answering them. She seemed stuck with words and he tilted his head ever so slightly. Wasn't thins usually his job to be all silent and nervous of what to say. It was weird when the situation was on the other paw. She seemed to be searching for something to say, and so he waited patiently for her to say what she was trying to, though he had to admit it was kind of cute to see someone else do it besides him.

"Uh the wound is healing nicely..."[/color] she stuttered to him and he turned his head to look at the wound. It was almost healed, it bugged him now and then but nothing serious. Turning his gaze back on her face he nodded. "Yes, its doing well thanks to your healing."[/color] he mewed politely giving her credit for her handy work on him. A silence fell between them and he found himself feeling more nervous with each passing moment. Say something! he demanded but all he could do was smile back at the female, a charming and small smile. Shifting on his paws a bit he noticed her lips part to speak, and thanked StarClan that she was going to speak.

"Uh looks like you'll be a warrior soon huh?" [/color]

Racoonpaw grinned and nodded. His chest fluffed out slightly in pride at his almost title. "Thats right, then I'll be able to leave camp when I want, train my own apprentice and other things that happen when you become a warrior."[/color] he didn't want to say courting a she-cat because that would have made him seem like a perv and he wasn't even close to one. So that ending seemed to be just right for what he was meaning and so he was pleased with the answer.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/sub][/color]

"Sorry, can't seem to get the dust off."

Aero smiled and nodded in agreement, she couldnt seem to get the dust off of her either. It was quite annoying if she thought so. She noticed him smile as she looked him over, still not believing he was the same tom she had healed. Then she wondered whether she had changed any or not, though she didnt think so. Aero shifted her weight on her her paws as Racoonpaw grazed his green eyes over her, making her self contious of any dirt or fur sticking out. It.. confused her, she never worried about her looks before.

"Thank you Aero, Im glad I have shown physical improvement. Umm how are you liking WindClan?"

Aero clenched her muscles as he spoke, her mind blanking out on what to say or think. She continued to look at him, lost on her words. She felt like an idiot, trying to search for something to say back, knowing it couldnt be that hard to answer a simple question. Aero closed her eyes for a short moment, trying to collect her thoughts, gathering them back in the right spot slowly. Finally, with her mind puzzled back together, she could answer. "You defently have.. seems like you've improved mentally too" she said, remembering how he used to studder, and trip. Racoonpaw had always been real shy around everyone, she remembered that he could hardly talk to her before. "Oh im just loving Windclan! its not quite as rambunctious as the other clans. Easier hunting too, i think." she purred in delight, happy she could get her words and thoughts out again. "Im learning alot too!" she meowed, in happiness.

"Yes, its doing well thanks to your healing."

Aero ducked down slighly in embarassment and pride, blushing heavily at Racoonpaws comment. She took a moment to answer as she twirled her newly cleaned paws around in the dust, watching it swirl. "Well i learned alot of new things from the other medicine cats too, but i dont think im exactly qualified to be teaching Wavepaw. Im not a medicine cat..." she said, her happiness gone for a few. She continued to watch the dust swirl lightly around her creamy white paws.

Thats right, then I'll be able to leave camp when I want, train my own apprentice and other things that happen when you become a warrior."

Aero gave him a sweet smile, her spirits rising slightly. "Thats great, you'll be a great mentor one day. But, you'll have to stay out of trouble as a warrior! you ready to give up you apprentice fun for freedom?" she as smiling playfully, knowing well that even as a warrior he could still have loads of fun. Aero looked down for a split second, and widened her mint eyes with shock. She had gotten Racoonpaws legs, and hers dusty from messing with the dirt. "Oh gezz im so sorry! and after us both washing!"
