Rowanheart is a fairly small she-cat; however, despite this, she is very stocky and muscular. Don't be fooled by first glance, for she can spring into action at any time with enough power to deal serious damage. The she-cat is well known for her facial appearance as well. The deep cupped ears and large, almond shaped yellow eyes are characteristic of Rowanheart. Her eyes always reveal whatever emotion she's feeling, whether she wishes them to or not. Rowanheart's pelt is a light orange with Mackerel tabby markings. She has vertical, gently curving stripes on the sides of her body, with a classic tabby "M" on her forehead. The she-cat also has a black spot on the tip of her pink nose.[/sub]
However, Rowanheart is most well known for her tail--or rather, the condition her tail is in. As an apprentice, she unwittingly got into a fight with a badger with the rest of her litter mates. Before help could arrive, the badger had bitten her tail terribly, to the point where it was almost hanging by only a few tendons. When Rowanpaw finally arrived in the medicine cat's den, the old cat had to bite off the remains of the tail to prevent infection. Rowanheart has had to live with half a tail since, only really having a bit of a stump left. Due to this incident, she has earned both an incredible fear of badgers as well as heights.
WHAT ARE YOU LIKE?
Fiercely independent, Rowanheart quite literally takes shit from no one. Quick to irritate and even quicker to insult, the she-cat will always let company know what's on her mind when angry. Whether company wants her to or not. Terribly proud and egotistical, she often views herself as right--and herself as only right. She rarely if ever listens to another cat's advice, preferring to do as she pleases. In other words, she's viewed as the 'odd ball' of the Clan, her fiery personality and lack of courtesy looked down upon. Rowanheart rarely cooperates (and if she does, it's not without complaint), and many have begun to ignore her completely.[/sub]
Unlike most cats, Rowanheart has a sticky view of StarClan to say the least. Actually, not just sticky. Rowanheart despises StarClan with all her being. No, she believes in them; she realizes they exist. How else would Clan leaders be gifted with nine lives? But on that fateful day she was attacked, the badger ended up killing her brother as well as severely injuring her mother. Her mother took a critical blow to her head, and even after being taken to the medicine cat, she continued to be in horrible pain. Rowanpaw had to watch her mother die slowly, suffering from brain damage. All the while, the cats around them tried to ease her fears with thoughts that she would be accepted into StarClan with the dignity she deserved. Even her mother seemed comforted by these words, despite the horrible pain she was in. Rowanpaw couldn't understand how anyone could accept something like that. Yes, StarClan were their honorable warrior ancestors--but shouldn't they have done something if they were all powerful? Shouldn't they have saved her brother and mother, not letting either go through such pain?
These thoughts haunted her until Rowanheart couldn't stop blaming StarClan, unable to trust them and instead hating everything concerning them. In her mind, they should have prevented the horrors from happening in the first place. Her mother hadn't deserved to die in such a brutal fashion; her brother had too much to live for to die. Why did everyone hail StarClan when they hadn't so much as lifted a paw to help? Because of these views, Rowanheart often snaps at the very mention of the ancestors, launching right into a long rant. The cats have learned to ignore her rants, saying she'll finally see things differently soon enough, but Rowanheart doesn't care. StarClan doesn't care about her; they don't care about anyone except themselves.
YOUR FAMILY TREE
Rowanheart was born alongside her brother to two average warriors; there was nothing particularly special about it. The only interesting factor would be that her father was not present at it, due to having been killed half a moon earlier. She, like every other kit, grew up wanting to be the best she could be. When she reached six moons, she was made an apprentice, Rowanpaw, with her brother, Hawkpaw. A moon later, they were attacked by a badger, and Rowanpaw lost her brother immediately. Her mother had attempted to come to their rescue, but she herself was so badly injured she died the next day. With her closest family members gone, Rowanpaw had no one to look to. Yes, she has kin in the Clan, but none of them are close to her. At least, she never lets them get close. They blabber on and on about StarClan, yet none of them can tell her why her mother and brother had to die. With this, she has closed off her heart to relationships; what's the point if it'll only hurt more in the end?[/sub]
