Training the ApprenticeBattle TrainingRedfeather I never thought it end this way, This demon in me just won't stop calling, It's breaking through my skin, Paws graced the ground as a tom of medium height and of a pale ginger pelt lightly trotted across the moors. Strides long and well calculated. 'A beautiful day to train Racoonpaw.' His thoughts as the tom shook his slightly longer then normal, for a Windclan cat that is, pelt in the warm sunlight. The cold air that still surrounded him, as it was still NewLeaf, tickled his nose and his throat burned just the slightest as he took in a long sip of air. His eyes closed for a moment as he rolled his shoulders, letting each relax to the world around him. "Sure is cold," He meowed, his breath shown the morning sunlight. Of course it would be, it was clearly just right after dawn. He had told his apprentice before paw that he wanted him here bright and early. He had sent another senior warrior to orengize patrols so he could get his apprentice his chance at being the greatest warrior ever. A yawn made the tom part his jaws, and a slight tip of the head backwards made him see the bird above him circle just a few foxtails to his left. "I know why now," He thought as he trotted down the hill he had been sitting on.
"Seriously leave me alone you crazy clan cat!" Snapped the inkie black she-cat. "But come on, you have to admit that I am a very loyal tom." Redfeather meowed deeply, his eyes hooded, charming even. "I-I know, but seriously! You played with my emotions, now screw off!" The inky black she-cat hissed, and Redfeather sighed. "Well S-O-R-R-Y Inkie." He rolled his eyes and turned on his heels. Snapping out of his flash back, Redfeather turned his eyes to behind him. "Hurry up Racoonpaw."
And if tomorrow never comes baby, Remember me as it was, Cause I'm blaming the demon tonight. Redfeather Your Cat Inkie(A random rogue) Words : 303 Muse is low -.-

Racoonpaw My first kiss went a little like this; Racoonpaw hurried out of camp as soon as the sun just started to peak over onto their flat land camp. The light of the sun slowly started to crawl its way from the earth to stretch out across the lands. The thin brown and white tom cat padded along quietly, since he knew that so many were still slumbering in their dens. lucky them... he thought stoping to give out a quick yawn. Shaking his head in a way to wake himself he noticed a pair of ocean blue eyes coming from the leaders den. Ashstars thin but muscular form walked out, a small, yet friendly smile placed on his maw as he came to approach the older apprentice. Racoonpaw could feel a slight blush come to his cheeks, and was thankful for the fir that covered them. He had been acting so weird lately, he was nervous almost all the time now, around she-cats and even toms. Racoonpaw was almost drawn towards the gorgeous blue eyes of his leader and quickly looked to his paws.
His ears flicked at the sound of Ashstars chuckle, and slowly brought his eyes up to meet his. "No need to be nervous, Racoonpaw. If im not mistaken, don't you have to meet Redfeather?"
his voice was light yet stern as his eyes drooped, almost questioningly. Racconpaw shifted on his paws a bit, hoping that some sort of word would come out of his mouth instead of babble. Gulping, the handsome tom cat nodded slowly. "Y...Yes sir." he managed a meek mew and Ashstar nodded quickly. "Better get a move on then, im sure he does not want to be waiting in this cold." with that Ashstar turned and walked towards the warriors den, probably rounding up the dawn potrol. Racconpaw realised he was right, and turned to quickly bound out of camp. His rather long, brown tipped legs carried him quickly through the small undergrowth and out onto the moorlands. The young tom glanced across the open moor, the grass slowly lighting up from the sunlight, turning from a pale green blue to a sparkling green. He had no time to marvel at the view though, Redfeather was waiting for him. He lifted his head. taking in the scents around him. The wind blew in his direction, causing him to shiver slightly. Why was it so cold? Blinking a slight taste entered his glands, Redfeather was on the moors, somewhere. Flicking his ears into an alert position, the snowshoe cat made his way over the familiar hills of his homeland. His paws were soft, due to the lack of hard surfaces in WindClan territory, though he heard Ashstars were hardened, he wondered why. He also wondered why he was still thinking about the long haired grey tom. Shaking those thoughts from his head like water, he focused mainly on finding his mentor, and clan deputy. Green eyes scanned the area, and he paused again to taste the air. The scent was stronger now, he must be getting close. Pinpointing the located rather quickly, Racoonpaw ran off in that direction. Blinded slightly by the crisp air as it made his eyes water. Blinking back he suddenly ran into something, and fell right back onto his bottom, giving a soft oof. Rubing his eyes with the side of his paw, he looked up at what he hit. To his luck it was Redfeather. He lowered his ears quickly. "Redfeather! I....Im sorry. I...I didn't see you." he stuttered wishing for once that he could stop being so timid around other cats, they were his clanmates for crying outloud! Looking at himself he quickly brushed off some grass blades that stuck to his pelt. Lifting himself onto his paws, he realised that he was not to much shorter than Redfeather, he must have grown over the last season. He lowered his gaze shamefully, he should have been more alert, and now he looked stupid these were new appretnice type of mistakes, and his cheeks burned from embaressment. Redfeather I never thought it end this way, This demon in me just won't stop calling, It's breaking through my skin, "Redfeather! I....Im sorry. I...I didn't see you."
Turning his head he notice the large apprentice and put on his lop sided grin. Thinking of all the she-cats that must of been fanning over the tom. Now if only Racoonpaw could gain Redfeather's ability that he had with the she-cats. His whiskers twitched as he looked down slightly at the tom. His amusement was a clear sign in his eyes and he nodded his head understanding. All cats have those days where they weren't truly here. More like they were in dream land or something like that. "It's alright Racoonpaw, just calm down." Whiskers twitching again Redfeather stepped back and took in his apprentice's appearance and nodded to himself. His eyes raised to the sky, in a slight pray before he turned his eyes back onto his apprentices. "We will battle train today." He said, trying to act stern, it wasn't really working. "You will be expected to kill me before-before.. hahaha" He burst out laughing at this, his maw twitching in a large goofy grin as he shook his head to clear his head. "Kidding, I'm just gonna go over what you know, and what you should improve on."
Taking a paw step back, Redfeather stretched his legs, hearing a pop in his leg that always seemed to become useless in the heat of a battle. "Now attack me." He meowed, dropping down and studying his apprentice with serious calculating eyes. Teeth bared in a playful and yet strangely serious way, Redfeather's tail lashed as impatiently.

Racconpaw slowly let his green gaze rest on Redfeather's face. He seemed rather amused and looked him over. Racoonpaw blinked nervously, why was he looking at him like that? The brown and white tom cat took a deep breath to relax himself and try to focus on his traing rather than his mentor looking him over. First Ashstar and now Redfeather, what was going on in his mind? And why was his body reacting by being nervous and self concious? His mind wasn't here today, that must be it. Shaking his pelt out once again, he sat back down, this time on purpose as she quicklystarted to lick at his chest fur, it always helped to calm his nerves down after something like this. "It's alright Racoonpaw, just calm down."
He looked back up at him quickly, nodding meekly. He still felt bad about it, afterall he practicaly knocked him over, but his aim was not focused on hitting anyone, so he was the only one sent backwards. Why couldn't he be more like the other apprentices? They were confident, precise, they were just what WindClan needed. He wet his lips quickly before speaking. "Still, it was a foolish mistake..." he mewed softly, for once it was all jumbled together. He always seemed to dwell on his faiures more than his successes, which was not always a good thing. He watched Redfeather with careful green eyes as his goofy grin came up again, he was a rather. umm happy tom all the time wasn't he. He could see why Ashstar chose him, Ashstar was more serious and blunt while Redfeather was playful and quick. Weird match up for two leading cats but they say oppisites attract, though he didn't mean it in a mate type of way, just attitude. Flicking his ears forward, he made sure to listen to what his mentor was about to say. "We will battle train today."...."You will be expected to kill me before-before.. hahaha" He must of noticed his eyes widen since he started laughing, i mean his eyes were huge with disbelief and fear. He still wasn't sure if Redfeather mean't it or not, but a voice in the back of his mind said that he was only joking. "Kidding, I'm just gonna go over what you know, and what you should improve on." Racconpaw let out a sigh of relief, thank StarClan. His body instantly relax, and he nodded slowly at the assignment given. He was a better fight than a hunter, go figure right? He's timid as hell and then he can fight like he wasn't. Wow he really contradicted himself. Hearing Redfeather give the orders to attack, he slowly rose to his paws. Ok Racoonpaw, focus! he told himself, trying to get his adrenaline pumping, he was pretty good at speed and accuracy. Why he couldn't put that into hunting he didn't know. Maybe it was because hunting took thought, while battle was instant, he didn't have time to think about if he was crouching wrong or not. Lowering his frame, his timidness melted away and a more determined expresion spread out across him maw. Ears alert, tail curled, he dashed towards Redfeather. Making his gaze intent on the tom cat, before a quick fake to the right and with a quick sweep of his tail he had hoped to trip his mentor. Skidding into a hault and quickly turning, he checked to see if his attack was a sucess or not, and if it wasn't he braced himself for another attack. Leaving his green gaze locked on the older tom cat, it was intent on each body part watching for any signs of movement. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/sub]

Redfeather I never thought it end this way, This demon in me just won't stop calling, It's breaking through my skin, Redfeather had made the mistake to blink, but his old legs gave him a quick jolt. When ever a cat comes running at you, you usually move aside and let them look like the idiot. Redfeather made a jump over the tail, but his hind leg was to slow and he tumbled to the ground, climbing to his paws swiftly. Redfeather bolted to the left, into a small patch of longer grass, hiding from his apprentice. Taking in a sip of air. Redfeather ready his muscles. Now Racoonpaw's side was towards him, so if the apprentice notice him it'd be from the corner of his eyes.
Redfeather let out a swift breath and fur rising he rushed forward head low as he came to a near stop by his apprentice he did a move near to what his apprentice did, but this time, he used his hind legs, and with a quick leap to the left he glared at his apprentice a fire in his eyes, but the playful glint still stuck to him with a warm smile. "Nice trick with the tail Racoonpaw, got me there, but that's not gonna work on everyone, come at me with all you got." He meowed, challenaging his apprentice farther. "No holding back, you want to be a warrior, well then prove it to me."
