When one looks back at their past, it isn’t hard to see most of the time, the places where everything went wrong, and places where it was the small mistakes, or small decisions that affect the future. When claws meet in an inner-clan struggle, this will become clearer than ever before. But to understand, the reader must first know the history behind such a story.
Our tale starts with three she-cats, three, inseparable she-cats. All young warriors, we introduce Wingedheart (the leader), Lilybreeze (the carer) and Dovesong (the dreamer). These three had been raised together, and although their ages varied, when the youngest Lilybreeze joined the warriors, it was clear that the three would be closer than many. Here, we must introduce the other players in such a story. Enter Barkshadow (the curious) and Flamewhisker (the show-off). Now, Barkshadow, however curious and inventive as he was, had grown up alongside Lilybreeze more than any other, and she was one of his closest friend, so it only made sense he stuck to the group when his busy schedule and his mate would allow him to. Enter Sandswallow (the strict). Flamewhisker on the other paw was the long-time rival of Wingedheart, but the two also had a very close sort of friendship which allowed them to do such.
Dovesong had always admirered the almost arrogant tom, and in a way, was hopelessly following him. Of course, it didn’t surprise anyone when Flamewhisker and Dovesong became mates. But, you see, it wasn’t that easy, it never is. Before paw, Flamewhisker and Wingedheart had taken their rivalry to a new level, and challenging each other to fights. These little tussles became a way to keep training even after being warriors. No one knew about these, but somewhere before Dovesong took the ginger tom, Wingedheart fell for him. Of course, this is the first mistake. Instead of stepping forward and maybe suggesting something, she didn’t, knowing where her best friend’s heart was, and instead, took the back seat, letting herself be thankful for having the tom’s friendship instead. Enter Ashenwind (the serious) and Bearfang (the clown). It made sense that over time, that Flamewhisker’s two closest friends would join in the small fights, but this still remained secret, and one Wingedheart was thankful remained such.
What is so wrong with such a story, you ask? If it were that simple, we wouldn’t be here. No, no, this story is about to take a turn for the worse. Enter Dogshadow (the obsessed). Oh it was the best sort of secret, the one where love is kept silent. But, it wasn’t just love, or passion, it was to the point of obsession, the admiration the black and white tom had for Dovesong. When she mated with Flamewhisker, he would have accepted this and kept his obsession to himself, but, you see, he discovered the training sessions. Such a mistake that was, to keep such a thing so quiet. Dogshadow couldn’t see the simple friendship between friends, and instead, saw Flamewhisker as being unloyal to his mate, to his beloved Dovesong. Thus started the downward roll. Looking around the clan, seeing cats even outside the clans, showing less that unfaithful love toward their mate, it made him sick and deeply, deeply insulted.
The first kill was by mistake, when his temper grew more than he could handle, and he quickly polished off an unfaithful loner, leaving the she-cat alive. But, once he had a taste of such a thrill, such a murder, who was he to stop what StarClan had clearly sent him to the land to do? To rid the forest of all the unfaithful blood in the clans. Oh Dogshadow is not to be thought of as an idiot, if anything, he is smarter than anyone that you shall ever meet, and as he worked his way into ThunderClan, no one expected such a thing, except for a certain white and ginger she-cat.
Enter Earthpaw (the wise). It was only just after Sandswallow died giving birth to Barkshadow’s son, when Lilybreeze and Dogshadow’s parents forced them into being mates with each other, leaving an irritated and cautious Barkshadow behind. Enter the best friend. After Lilybreeze had denied Barkshadow’s best friend when it came to mates, the two toms begun to worry about their friend, as you had to be blind not to notice the sudden amount the tom was around the she-cat. Enter Caramelpaw (the hyperactive) and Cinnamonfeather (the newbie). Flamewhisker and Dovesong’s daughter had just started her apprenticeship, with the young she-cat being sent under Wingedheart for her training. Caramelpaw was in on her father’s little training secret, after she’d followed one of the older apprentices, Cinnamonpaw to the session, and really, her father wasn’t too upset about it. Maybe, if Dovesong hadn’t followed her daughter to the third session, she may have never suffered the fate she did. But she did, and that is that.
Finding out about the session, Dovesong challenged Wingedheart about her feelings toward Flamewhisker, and although the white and ginger she-cat denied everything, the two knew each other too well, and it ended in tears, with Wingedheart making it clear that she had done nothing and was just trying to be a good friend. Of course, Flamewhisker didn’t escape such an accusation, and the argument between Dovesong and Flamewhisker would be the last time they talked, when Dovesong stormed off. Flamewhisker, still upset, convinced Caramelpaw to come training with the ground again, and while they went off to tussle, Dogshadow slipped out after the white she-cat.
Dogshadow and Dovesong chatted for quite some time, about everything they knew, and all the while, Dovesong’s love for her best friend faded more and more, until Dogshadow brought up the suggestion that she leave Flamewhisker, who was clearly being unfaithful for him, but Dovesong made the mistake that no one should make, and said no, because of Lilybreeze. Dogshadow was angered at once by the she-cat’s stupidity, and the two ended up in a fuelled fight of passion and anger. Over at the training session however, the five older cats were fighting among themselves, showing Caramelpaw moves, but they had become distracted, and only the young she-cat heard the yowls.
Following the sounds, Caramelpaw made herself known, the one point no cat ever wants to see, when her mother was killed before her. Dogshadow noticed the terrified she-cat before she could run however and now, you will all be looking away, gripped with fear as you can picture the huge tom approaching the small apprentice. But she didn’t die that day. With the amount of blood in the clearing, you’d think she did, but the she-cat never got a cut on her, but was threatened with death, should she ever return to the clan. Dogshadow made quick trails after Caramelpaw was nowhere to be seen, and covered up his scent just like always, before turning tail and running.
By this point, the five other cats noticed the apprentice’s absence, and, following her trail... found the dead body of their once-friend. Flamewhisker, only smelling his family, collapsed into a pit of sorrow and helplessness, and the other three set out to try and find any familiar scents that could mean Caramelpaw could be still alive, but found none. It was only Wingedheart, who found Dogshadow’s scent, and sick to her stomach, knew he was the cause behind it, and that he was the killer the clan’s couples feared. The ground made their way back to camp, hearing that the leader was sick, and Barkshadow would be leader within days.
Those few days were the hardest Wingedheart ever worked, to show the tabby that she was the best cat for the job, as seeing Dogshadow was the only other warrior that could do such a job. Thankfully, when Barkstar was named, he chose the white and ginger she-cat, and it was from this point, she began her whole investigation. Only Ashenwind she trusted enough to know about what she knew, and before long, they ended up taking shifts, hunting for clues and looking after Flamewhisker who was slowly returning to normal. Bearfang and Cinnamonfeather quickly joined in, although neither knew the full story.
Now, I bring you to the current time, when only days before, Lilybreeze had heard words of Dogshadow’s about needing revenge on Wingedheart, and only a day after she’d told Flamewhisker. Now, sitting in front of the nursery, her kits safely tucked up against her belly, Lilybreeze, after hearing something similar a second time, takes the risk of telling her beloved Barkstar about what she’d heard and Wingedheart’s strange behaviour. It is during the two friend’s chat that Dogshadow returned and seeing them, and at once, the confrontation begins.
Plans will be spilt, secrets told, injury is clear, and most of all, revenge shall be dealt. In a civil war within the clan’s own ranks, which side will you take the fight for friendship and a warrior’s life, or an older fashioned law which needs to be out ruled, as only the corrupt murderer can lead such a thing?

Okay here we go! The sun was just peaking over the horizon, sending warm rays just below the canopy of leaves and rousing the animals in the forest. Things seemed to be at relative peace as the night slipped into morning slowly, but surely. Of course though, where there is peace, there is always one that wishes to disrupt that kind of tranquility....
And this someone was none other then Caramelpaw, who had had a restless night of romping and running. For some reason, the last few days had gone by in a total breeze for her, and her energy seemed endless as he bounded through the mountains, forests, twoleg towns, and now more forests. Regardless, being full of energy did not stop Caramelpaw's stomach from rumbling every once in awhile.
And now was the perfect opportunity to hunt.
You see, while most felines of her age had more trouble catching prey, Caramelpaw had a much easier time, due to her brief experience as an apprentice of ThunderClan. The memory, however, still haunted her to some degree. The sneaking silhouette of Dogshadow lingered over her as if he were really still there, watching her, making sure she didn't return to ThunderClan. Still, Caramelpaw knew, she was nowhere near her old territory. She'd haved smelled it.
Another rumble from the young cat's stomach, and she knew she could not wait much longer to start hunting. This spot was good enough, she supposed, to catch a nice rabbit or bird. Caramelpaw snorted, bringing her paw up over his head to flick a pesky fly off her head. Irritating creatures they were. It wasn't her fault that she hadn't had a proper chance to groom herself in months! She was on the run after all!
And then, in a flash, there was a small creature moving underneath the bracken. It was unsuspecting of any predators....
Caramelpaw smirked, and muttered, "Breakfast ahoy."
Quietly, the she-cat crept along the snow, careful to make her pawprints silent so the vibrations would not alert the mammal of her appearance. Soon enough, she was close enough to even smell the creature, though she was still unable to see it. It was a rabbit, something she had not smelled in a long while. Caramelpaw's smirk reached up to her ears as she started to sneak around the undergrowth.
Almost immediately, the rabbit shot out of its hiding spot, terrified by something. Caramelpaw stopped her treasure hunt and shot after her prey. She had been so careful to sneak up on it too! She bounded unrelentlessly after the rodent, nearly tripping over her own legs, but finally, she was able to catch up to it:
"Three... two... ONE!" Caramelpaw yowled as she came down on the rabbit, tearing into the back of its neck and crunching down on delicate bones. It was over. The prey was hers. "AND VICTORY BELONGS TO CARAMELPAW!"
Her yowl echoed into the trees, sending birds flying into the overcast sky. Caramelpaw let out a laugh, and then bent down to feast. As soon as her stomach was full, she would continue her journey to who-knows-where....

Sweet <3. I'll work on her bio later then.
EDIT: Perhaps she decides to go back to a different Clan because she can't live by herself, but is too afraid of Dogshadow? then she would probably go back to ThunderClan once she felt it was safe.
Does that sound like a plan? Or did you have something else in mind Barkerr?
